Fitchburg Dog Park Advocates (FDPA) is not-for-profit advocacy group of motivated residents that worked with the City of Fitchburg to establish Sunnyside Park, the first off-leash dog park in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Thanks to the many local supporters of the Fitchburg Dog Park, FDPA reached its fundraising goal of $50,000 allocated to basic park amenities and construction to match City funding.
Rules on Dog Behavior
A reminder to all dog park users: by using our beautiful park, you agree to abide by the posted rules. This includes NOT bringing dogs to the park that have a history of aggression towards other dogs or people. Aggressive behavior towards other dogs or people will not be tolerated. Our park rules were designed to keep both dogs and people safe as they enjoy our community resource. Thank you for being responsible dog owners and park goers. We’ll see you at the park!
Dog License Required
Dogs visiting Sunnyside Park must have a current Dog License for the municipality in which you reside – there are no additional fees to use the park once your pet is licensed. If you haven’t already applied for or received an annual license for your dog, you may get one through Fitchburg City Hall for $20 (plus $5 late fee for applications after April 1) per neutered/spayed pet.
