FDPA will be spending two hours on the morning of Sat, Aug 4th removing invasives and weeds including wild parsnip, ragweed, honeysuckle, buckthorn, and others.
Please join us if you can!

Municipal Dog License Required
Dogs visiting Sunnyside Park must have a current Dog License for the municipality in which you reside – there are no additional fees to use the park once your pet is licensed. If you haven’t already applied for or received a 2018 license for your dog, you may get one through Fitchburg City Hall for $15 (plus $5 late fee for applications after April 1) per neutered/spayed pet.

Thanks to the many local supporters of the Fitchburg Dog Park, FDPA has reached its first fundraising goal of $50,000 allocated to basic park amenities and construction to match City funding. FDPA wants to make the park the best it can be, so we’re raising our goal to $60,000. Join us in reaching this new goal!
- To establish the first fenced-in, off-leash dog park in central Fitchburg where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.
- To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the dog park rules and regulations.
- To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Fitchburg, designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
- To raise funding to match the City of Fitchburg’s monetary commitment.
